Bridgy Fed is a bridge between Bluesky and the Fediverse (Mastodon, Misskey, Pleroma, Peertube etc) that allows people to follow a Bluesky account from the Fediverse and a Fediverse account from Bluesky.

Since the documentation is really hard to read and to understand, I put there the minimum stuff to know to use and enable this bridge.
It’s opt-in
First, you need to understand that this bridge is currently opt-in only. It means you won’t be able to use it to follow accounts that didn’t explicitly allowed their posts to be forwarded through this bridge.
Also, if you follow a bridged account, it won’t get your replies/interactions if you haven’t enabled the bridge for your own account.
If you want to get the biggest audience, it’s recommended to enable the bridge for your account.
You’re on the Fediverse (Mastodon etc.)
Look for this account in the search field and follow it: @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy
This account should follow you back a few minutes later.
Then your Fediverse account @yourname@yourinstance.com will appear as @youraccount.yourinstance.com.ap.brid.gy on Bluesky.
You can find logs about what Bridgy knows on your Fediverse account by going to: https://fed.brid.gy/ap/@youraccount@yourinstance.com
If your account is locked, it won’t be bridged.
If you or your admin blocked @bsky.brid.gy@bsky.brid.gy, your account won’t be bridged either.
Only your public posts will be forwarded to Bluesky.
You’re on Bluesky
Look for this account: @ap.brid.gy or click this link and follow it.
This account should follow you back a few minutes later.
Then your Bluesky account @youraccount.domain will appear as @youraccount.domain@bsky.brid.gy on the Fediverse. (often ‘domain’ = ‘bsky.social’).
You can find logs about what Bridgy knows of your Bluesky account by going to: https://fed.brid.gy/bsky/youraccount.domain
If your Bluesky account is set up to be hidden for logged out users, it won’t be bridged.
If you blocked @ap.brid.gy, your account won’t be bridged either.
What about bots/bridges/Peertube/etc accounts?
Unfortunately for now, Fediverse accounts that cannot follow Bridgy Fed accounts can’t be forwarded, including bots and other bridges (like bird.makeup or kilogram.makeup) and a lot of notification accounts on services like Peertube and Owncast.
Limitations
There’s a lot of bugs and rough edges, however Bridgy Fed is still in beta. Please check the Github issues to know more.
